David Zala Return, Exchange and Refund Policy

At David Zala Custom Clothing, every garment is tailored with precision, craftsmanship, and your personal specifications in mind. Because we specialize in made-to-measure and custom-designed apparel, our policies are structured to ensure fairness to both our clients and our tailors. Please read the following policy carefully before placing your order.

Custom Orders Are Final Sale

All custom-made, made-to-measure, and bespoke garments are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. This includes suits, jackets, trousers, shirts, overcoats, and any garments altered or personalized specifically for you.

Once your order is confirmed and production has begun, we are unable to accept returns or issue refunds for reasons including—but not limited to—change of mind, style preference, event cancellation, or weight fluctuation.

Fit Guarantee and Alterations

Your satisfaction and the fit of your garment are important to us. If your custom garment does not fit as expected:

  • Complimentary alterations are available within 10 business days of delivery or final fitting. This is subject to our in-house tailors’ assessment of what is reasonable and achievable based on the initial measurements and design.
  • Alteration services are valid for one round of adjustments per garment.
  • If an error occurred due to incorrect measurements taken by a David Zala team member, we will cover all alteration costs or remake the garment if necessary.

Note: Alterations due to body changes (e.g., weight gain/loss) post-fitting are the client’s responsibility and may incur additional tailoring fees.

Garment Remakes (If Applicable)

We only offer remakes under the following rare conditions:

  • The garment was made in the wrong fabric, color, or style from what was confirmed in your final order.
  • The measurements deviate significantly from the agreed custom specs and cannot be corrected through alteration.

In such cases:

  • The client must notify David Zala within 7 days of receiving the garment.
  • The garment must be unworn (other than for fitting), unwashed, and in original condition.

Ready-to-Wear and Accessories

For non-custom products (such as accessories or ready-to-wear items), we offer:

  • Exchange or store credit within 7 days of purchase.
  • The item must be unused, unaltered, and in its original packaging.

No cash refunds will be provided for any ready-to-wear products unless deemed defective upon inspection.

Order Cancellations

Because custom garments begin production shortly after order confirmation:

  • Orders can only be canceled within 24 hours of payment.
  • After this window, all sales are considered final, and your order proceeds to production.

Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive an item with manufacturing defects:

  • Notify our team within 3 days of receipt.
  • Provide clear photos and a description of the issue.
  • Once reviewed and confirmed, we will provide a resolution, which may include a remake or repair at no cost to you.

International Orders

For international clients:

  • All policies above still apply.
  • Shipping fees, duties, and customs charges are non-refundable.
  • Any return or exchange shipping costs are the client’s responsibility unless a proven error was made by David Zala.

Final Note on Tailored Garments

Custom tailoring is a collaborative process. We encourage all clients to participate in fittings and provide timely feedback. While we aim for perfection, handmade garments may have minor variances that are inherent to artisanal craftsmanship and not considered defects.
